She was predeceased by: her son Robert J. McElrath; and her grandson James Benson "Ben" Griffin. She is survived by: her husband C. Albert Hellar of Inman, SC; her brother Dr. George O. Bailey, MD of Anderson, SC.; her daughters, Helen M. Griffin of Newberry, SC, Beth M. Mitcheltree of Simpsonville, SC and Anna R. McElrath of Greenville; her daughter-in-law Crela L. McElrath of Taylors; and her grandchildren, Leslie M. Hoffman (Brent) of Greenville, Erin M. Roach (Jared) of Nashville, TN and Bradley McElrath (Maria) of Eugene, OR. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Washington Baptist Church, 3500 SC Highway 14, Greer, SC or to a charity of one's choice.
