He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Murdock and Hester Poole Murdock; and his siblings, Aileen, Christine, Jim, Rob, Vance, Roy, Bernice and Sam.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Murdock of Greer; his children, Kendra Lee Wells, Kevin Scott Murdock, John Derrick Murdock (Julie) and Bradford Colin Murdock (Susan); and his brothers, Gilmer Murdock, Graham Murdock and Johnny Murdock. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
