It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janie Harris Ellison (Greenville, South Carolina), born in New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on June 9, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John William "Bill" Ellison (Savior); and her parents, Rev. James Albert and Elizabeth Storm Harris. She is survived by: her children, Jonathan Lowe Ellison (Sara), Carrie Ellison Vaughn (Neal), Sarah Ellison Murray (Joe) and Rachel Elizabeth Harding (Ian); her grandchildren, Wyatt Murray, Eliza Murray, John William Murray, Eoin Harding, Finn Harding, Asher Harding and Oliver Ellison; and her brothers, David Harris of Mint Hill, NC and James Albert Harris, Jr. of Inverness, FL..
In honor of Janie's life, the family requests memorials be made to Piedmont Women's Center, Good News Club®, or Horizon Church.
