She is survived by: her son Samuel Christopher Kimel; her daughter-in-law Stacy Reed Kimel of Knoxville, Tennessee; her daughter Stacey Kimel Kitchens; her son-in-law Dr. George Gray Kitchens, Jr. of Greenville; her sister Carol Langford Hawkins of Asheville; her grandchildren, Ty, Will Kimel, Ava, Kate, Lila Kitchens, Kathleen, Lindsay Levy and Ben Henry Griffin, Jr. of Cordele, Georgia.; and her caregivers, Teka Mitchell, Quiona Bowens and Loreece Gantt.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Creekside Clubhouse (19 Creekside Way, Asheville, NC 28804).
