He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Cooper; his children, Sherry Rector, Jennifer DeMaria (Marco) and James "Jimmy" Wayne Cooper, Jr. (Audrey); his sister Margaret Christy; his grandchildren, Michael Rector (Leigh Ann), Christopher Rector, James "Jay" Wayne Cooper, III, Erica Cooper, Victoria DeMaria, David DeMaria and Morgan Ball (Eli); and his great grandchildren, Gianna Hughes and Cora Ball.
