James Lanny Owensby Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Lanny Owensby (Greenville, South Carolina), who passed away on January 8, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Owensby and Bernice Owensby; and his brothers, Joel Wayne Owensby and Dennis Michael Owensby. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Owensby; his son Anthony "Tony" Owensby (April); his siblings, Linda Owensby Fowler (Rodger) and Gary Owensby (Bobbie); and his sister-in-law Rachel Owensby. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jim's honor to Providence Baptist Church, 8515 White Horse Rd., Greenville, SC 29617, to continue supporting the causes close to his heart.
