He is survived by: his children, James Lawson, Jr., Gwendolyn Lawson Lynch and Rebecca Lawson Politowicz (Leroy); his grandchildren, Michael Turner, Nicole Foster, Chandler Marcukaitis, Piper Jackson and Kadie Claxton; and his siblings, Doris, Peggy, Teresa and Doug. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
