He was predeceased by: his parents, Ned Gore of Florence and Idabelle Hatcher Gore; his girlfriend Joyce Parker Godfrey; and his son Dean Gore of Taylors, SC.. He is survived by: his grandson John Michael Gore (Jessica) of Woodruff, SC; his stepsons, Ronnie Godfrey (Kim) and Rickey Godfrey (Sue) of Nashville, TN; and his children, Jackie D Gore of Locust Grove, GA and Barbara Ann Smith of Hampton, GA.. He is also survived by step grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved their papa.

He became a resident of Reedy River ten months ago with advanced Parkinson's Disease.
