It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irving Yokel (Greenville, South Carolina), born in Bronx, New York, who passed away on September 8, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Yokel and Lillian Welch Yokel; his wife Gladys Yokel; and his siblings, Jean Chaklai, Gloria Klotz and Murray Yokel.
He is survived by: his children, David Yokel (Beth), Jeri Bernstein (Jim) and Karen Jolles (Scott); his grandchildren, Leah Kelley (Marc), Joshua Yokel (Lauren), Seth Yokel (Marisa), Peter Bernstein (Emily), Lauren Bernstein (Brian), Rachel Jolles and Philip Jolles; and his great grandchildren, Sienna Kelley, Ruby, Jace Bernstein and Reid Goldman.
