It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Brank Johnston of Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on April 23, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Scott Brank, Sr. and Anna Ruble Swan Brank; and her brothers, Walter Scott Brank, Jr. (Bud) and Ralph Leon Johnston. She is survived by: her children, James Verne Johnston (Caroline Greene) and Margie Johnston Cole (Frank Jackson Cole, Jr); her grandchildren, Anna Flarra Cole Schlimme (Jonathan Louis Schlimme) and Brandon Johnston Cole (Amanda Jane Millen); her great grandchildren, Helen Legare Schlimme and Lydia Louise Schlimme; and also, Verne Swan and Christie Swan King.
