She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Howell and James Shaw Sr.; her husband James E. Acker; her siblings, Rosena Howell, JoAnn of Washington, Thomas, James Howell, Willie, Gregory and Forrest Shaw; and her friend Ralph Steed.
She is survived by: her children, Yvette Scott, Gloria Elaine Wallace, Tonia Scott (Welton) and Walter Timothy Francis (Carol); her siblings, Lavinia Francis (Lou), Audrey Smith (Hugh), Shirley A. Shaw and Gerald Howell; her grandchildren, Tamika Scott, Jeremy Wallace (Brenda), Erick Brandon Carter, Laura Wallace, Joshua Wallace and Faye Green (Xavier); her great grandchildren, Raina Brown-Wallace, Tiana Cooke, Jaylen Brown-Wallace and Jeremih Brown-Wallace; her grandchildren, K'ssyah Kirkley Araujok, Josiah, Julissa Wallace, Xavier Jr., Caleb, Easton and Oaklyn Aalivia Green; her sisters-in-law, Eloise and Mary Howell; and her children-in-law, Carol Francis and Welton Taylor. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and friends.
