She was predeceased by: her parents, Haskell Mullinax and Callie Mae Green Mullinax; her daughter Linda Carol Howell; and her sisters, Barbra Jean Robinson, Mildred Aleksiejczyk and Joyce Bredwill.

She is survived by: her husband Donald Atkins; her sons, Haskell Ray Atkins (Avalee), Reverend Ronald Timmy Atkins (Teresa) and Reverend Grady Randell Atkins (Darlene); and her brothers, Joseph Mullinax and James Mullinax (Shirley). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
