He was predeceased by: his father James. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Douglas Shirts (Tammy) of Lyman, SC and Catherine Shirts (Tracie); his brother-in-law Al Clerc (Patricia); his stepgrandchildren, Jesse Shirts (Sarah), Chloe Shirts and Zachariah Shirts; and his siblings, Claire Brown of Manchester, UK, Maureen Dillon of Cavan, Helen Prendergast of Midleton and Seamus Brennan of Roosky. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
They traveled to the UK, Ireland, and New Zealand before Covid.
They were married for 44 years before Nora succumbed to Alzheimer's disease.
