He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Ashmore and Virgil L. Ashmore (Bill); his brother Virgil L. Ashmore, Jr. (Billy); and his former wife Dorothy Cox Ashmore. He is survived by: his daughters, Ann Ashmore Jenkinson (Eddie) of Greenville and Margaret Dru Nelson (Charles) of Jacksonville, Florida.; and his grandchildren, Cara Elizabeth Jenkinson, Pearce Nelson Parisi, Carter Andrew Nelson and Blair Elizabeth Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of G. Maurice Ashmore to The American Heart Association.
