He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma Olean Lunsford Freeman; his parent Plenney Lawson Freeman; his son Chuck Freeman; his siblings, Larry Freeman, Bob Freeman, Harvey Freeman and Beverly Phillips; and his grandson Chazsten Freeman.
He is survived by: his children, Marcus Freeman (Angie), Randy Burleson and Sharon Gregory; his sister Joyce Kendrick; and his grandchildren, Amy Sutherland (Clint), Shawna Orr (Patrick), Trista Jones (Jonathan), Keith Burleson, Greg Burleson, Gabby Burleson, Billy Burleson and Dalton Gregory. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
