He is survived by: his wife Melissa Cox Lawton; his children, Roxana Lawton Evans, Michael, Francis Asbury Lawton IV, Ashley, Jonathan Edwards Lawton and Jessica; and his grandchildren, Sam, Josh, Caroline, Jon, Quinn, Tyler and Katie Beth. He is also survived by his extended family, including brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Later, during his 40s, he took time to donate himself and worked at Miracle Hill, where he assisted many people.
