She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Joseph Towles and Eunice Middleton Towles of Meggett; her husband George Patterson Apperson, Jr.; and her stepchild Minetry Apperson Crowley (Whit) of Memphis, Tennessee.. She is survived by: her sons, George Patterson Apperson III (Elaine Moreland Apperson) of Greenville and William Tellous Wells III (Cynthia D'Andrea Wells) of Folly Beach; her grandchildren, William Tellous Wells IV of Charlotte and Ellie D'Andrea Mason of Charleston; and her sister Eunice Towles Dawson, Jr. (Tootie).
A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Christ Church (10 N Church St, Greenville, SC 29601). A reception was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
