He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Caroline Janniken Nagel (Bjornson) and Herman Andreas Nagel; his former spouses, Lauren Elizabeth Smith of Greenville, SC and Gail Sullivan Nagel; his son Chad Nagel; his granddaughter Celeste Nagel; and his wife Cindy Allen Raines.
