It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Effie L. Altman (Greenville, South Carolina), who passed away on November 26, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Crawford Kelley and Fannie Arrowood Kelley; her husband Lawson DuRant Altman; her grandchildren, Lynn Ducker Weigand, John Ducker and Dusty Crump; and her sisters, Helen Kelley Boggs and Nellie Shields.
She is survived by: her daughters, DeeDee Crump (Charles Glenn) of Taylors, SC and Chief Mary Louise Worthy of Laurens, SC; her grandchildren, Dennis Altman (Sandra) of Fountain Inn, SC., Misty Howard (Chad), Melanie Riddle (Thomas Gallegos), Melissa Holliday (Scott), Dennis Altman, Jr. (Melanie) and Jeremy Altman (Carolyn); and her sister-in-law Evelyn Elkins.
