He is survived by: his wife Geneva Porter (Hartzog) of Lenoir, NC; his children, Jamie Marie Ward (Bolick) of Anderson, SC and Ryan James Porter; his daughter-in-law Jackie Austin Porter of Granite Falls, NC; and his stepgranddaughter Brooklyn Gilbert of Lenoir, NC. He is also survived by several siblings.
