He was predeceased by: his wife Louise Moody; his parents, Lambert Moody and Ruie Bumgarner Moody; and his siblings, Juanita Young, Mae Rhodes, Josephine Braun (Dot), Helen Webb, Kenneth Moody, John Moody Thomas Moody, Ray Moody and Roy Moody.
He is survived by: his children, Darlene Burton (Chris Burton), Cindy Julian (Mark Julian), Mary Flora (Tom Flora) and John Moody (Donna Moody); his grandchildren, Nicholai Burton, Nicci Babb, Carly Owen, Erica Hart, Brandi Hart and Christopher Moody; and his stepgrandchildren, Kieran Burton, Riley Burton, Chris Julian and Michelle Boehler. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren.
