She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin C. Davis and Thelma Jane Darby Davis; and her brother Steve Davis. She is survived by: her children, James R. Carter, Jr. of Williamston and Cathy Earlene Vaughn of Anderson; her siblings, Alvin Lynn, Bobby Ray Davis, Libby Brown and Mary Haynes; her grandchildren, Jami Nicole, Mallori Lynn Carter and Richard C. Jennings; and her great grandchildren, Nathanial Carter of Aiden Flannigan, M. J, Michael Giles, Emalie Roberts, Abbi Gale Jennings, Sara Roberts and Janessa Jennings.
