Catherine Ballew Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Ballew of Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Charles Ballew, Sr. and Patricia Hendrix Ballew. She is survived by: her sons, Christopher Hendrix Garner and Don Alan Garner, Jr.; her siblings, Ray Charles "Chuck" Ballew, Jr. (Kristine Lanphere), Andrew Ballew (Courtney Riddle) and Teresa Ballew Cottingham (Arthur Hallam, IV); her close friend Donna Bankston Priest; the father of her children Don Garner, Sr.; and her dachshund Penny. She is also survived by her sons' friends as her own children.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of South Carolina Educational Foundation – Athletics Excellence Fund.
