With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carl Herbert Perry of Greenville, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 18, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herbert Perry and Mattie Bell Patrick Perry; and his siblings, Frances, Jimmy, Pat and Bill.
He is survived by: his wife Mamie Gardner Perry; his children, Matthew Perry (Marie) of Scottsburg, IN and Karla Prather (Paul) of Sumter; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Perry (Carolyn) of Mauldin, Richard Perry (Teresa) of Pickens, Margaret Coleman of Travelers Rest, Sara Jo Hazel of Mauldin and Lynn Perry of Greenville; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Pekuri (Aaron) of Sumter, Chase Prather of Sumter and Amelia Perry of Scottsburg, IN; and his great grandchild Truett Pekuri. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home (221 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight (221 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150).
