She was predeceased by: her parents, Cole Blease Godfrey and Rosa Lee Bright Godfrey; her husband Paul Ellis Adams Sr.; her son Paul Ellis Adams, Jr.; her siblings, Joel Godfrey and Sylvia Eddleman; and her great great grandchild Elainena Bailey Brooke Chandler.
She is survived by: her daughter Shelia Adams Chandler (Roger Chandler); her grandchildren, Kelly Adams (Michael), Roger Chandler, Jr. (FL), Lynette Chandler Graham (FL) and Rance Chandler (Idaho); and her siblings, Deborah Boiter (Henry) of Greenville, SC, James "Bud" Godfrey of Anderson, SC and Donnie Godfrey of Liberty, SC. She is also survived by 7 Great-grand children, and 11 Great-Great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the New Life Baptist Church (2691 W Blue Ridge Dr, Greenville, SC 29611). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
