She was predeceased by: her husband James A. Basinger; her parents, Ulysses Grant Cable and Juanita Cable; her sisters, Cheryl Miller and Lucille Mooney; and her stepsiblings, Laura Hodges and Duane Cable.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Basinger (Sarah), Marty Basinger (Susan), Murray Basinger (Julie) and Anita Foster (Jim); her grandchildren, Leslie Basinger Kester, Lindsey Kraus (Ben), Tyler Basinger (Lynn), Chase Basinger (Mary), David Basinger (Amy), Christopher Basinger (Nicole), Kevin Basinger, Michelle Basinger (Eric) and Wesley Basinger; her stepbrother Doug Cable; and her sister-in-law Betty Cable. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hanceville First Baptist Church (104 Church Ave, Hanceville, AL 35077).
