He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Morton Smith and Aglae D. Smith; and his son Barney Smith, Jr. (Barney). He is survived by: his wife Delores Smith; his sons, Ellis Smith (JoAnn), Bill Smith and James Smith (Jeania); and his grandchildren, Barney Smith III, Berkley Casazza, Ellis Smith, Jr., Seth Smith, Leah Smith, James Smith, Jr., Logan Smith and Hartley Graham. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
