She was predeceased by: her daughter Pamela Paliga; and her sister Margaret "Peggy" Hunter. She is survived by: her daughter Donna; her sons-in-law, David Jones and Brian Paliga; her sister Doris; her brother-in-law Thomas Ford; her grandsons, Drew Paliga, Charles, Richard and Daniel Jones; and her great grandchildren, Henry, Sunny, Adeline and Emily Jones.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara James can be made to the Stephanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center.
