She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert L. Hawthorne, Sr. and Bertha Elgin Hawthorne; her brothers, Robert "Bobby" L. Hawthorne, Jr. of Abbeville, S. C. and Elgin Hawthorne of Abbeville, S. C.; and her husband Alexander "Aleck" Gray Clark.
She is survived by: her sons, Paul Clark (Sissy), Mark Clark (Sandy) and Robert Clark (Mary); her grandchildren, Chase Clark, Dylan Clark, Mary Myers Hiller (Rivers), Alexander "Alex" Gray Clark, II and Christopher Robert Clark; and her great grandchild Oliver Robert Hiller.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes - Downtown Chapel (639 N Main St, Greenville, SC 29601). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
She was honored to be able to donate a lovely grand piano to the chapel of Furman University in memory of her beloved husband, Aleck.
