He is survived by: his wife Kathie Ann Wright Baker; his children, Betsy Carter Coan (Fred) of Clover, SC, Suzanne Baker (Tracy) of Heath Springs, SC, Roy S. Carter III of Fort Lawn, SC and Melanie Carter Childers (Michael) of Winnsboro, SC; and his brother-in-law Clyde Knight of Goose Creek, SC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
