He was predeceased by: his mother Lucy Putnam Barton; his grandparents, George, Fannie Putnam, Niley and Marie Barton; his brother Timothy N. Barton; his nephew T. J. Barton; and his former wife Johnnie Lee Barton.
He is survived by: his father David Louis Barton; his siblings, David Barton (Kathy), Rebecca B. Karlik (David) and Rhonda B. Davis (Alan); his nieces and nephews, Bryan, Chris Davis, Stephanie Hamby, Rhonda Davelle Barton, Ashley B. Julian and Sabrina B. Huff; his sister-in-law Julie C. Barton (Timothy); and his close friend Michael.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Fletcher Funeral Service (1218 N Main St, Fountain Inn, SC 29644). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 2:45 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Cannon Byrd Memorial Park (1150 N Main St, Fountain Inn, SC 29644).
