He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Freeman and Lucille Barnette Freeman; his children, Michael Alfred Pearson and Carrie Marie Freeman; and his siblings, Jimmy Freeman and Mona Ellenburg.

He is survived by: his siblings, Jack Freeman (Carolyn), Betty Bishop, Larry Freeman and Sue Roach (Dwight). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
