James William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As James William departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James William may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James William leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Audrey and Grace Price Brown. He is survived by: his wife Janice Cagle Brown; his children, Christopher Brown (Brittany) of Laurens, Michael "Mick" Brown of Hickory Tavern and Allison Sumerel (Barrie) of Laurens; and his granddaughters, Autumn and Alana Brown.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kennedy Mortuary (606 W Main St, Laurens, SC 29360). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rabun Creek Baptist Church (17045 SC-101, Gray Court, SC 29645).
