She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Petty and Susie Coleman Petty; her daughter Susan Christie; and her siblings, Thelma Parris, James Petty, Carl Petty and Buddy Petty.

She is survived by: her son Steve Christie (Charlene); her sister Ruby Moore (Robert); her grandsons, Ray Avery (Jennifer) and Charles Avery; and her great grandchild Cylas Avery.
