He was predeceased by: his parents, B. W. Goolsby and Minnie Duvall Goolsby; his daughter Debra Elaine Goolsby; and his siblings, Grace Heron, Jean Dell, Gladys Caldwell, Helen Jameson, Harold Goolsby and Sidney Goolsby.
He is survived by: his wife Eloise Goolsby; his children, Jeffery Goolsby (Tracy), Janet Owen (Marvin) and Judy McKinney (Michael); his grandchildren, Chadwick Owen (Lauren), Angela Owen, Carolyn Altman (Jeremy), Alan Goolsby (Amy), Laura Fidler (Brian), Melissa Starrett (Andrew), Christopher Faulkner (Devin) and Alex Ahumada (Taylor); and his brother Carl Jack Goolsby (Betty). He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
