It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Smallwood Satterfield of Gray Court, South Carolina, born in Laurens, South Carolina, who passed away on October 12, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady A. Smallwood and Bessie Beck Smallwood; her grandson Samuel Satterfield; and her siblings, Willie Smallwood, Helen Hayes, Maggie Hughes and Roger Smallwood.

She is survived by: her sons, James Satterfield, Jr. (Phebe), Parrish Satterfield (Lory) and Phalen Satterfield (Sarah); her grandchildren, Trae Satterfield (Carley), Erin Ross (Davis), Isaiah Satterfield, Peyton Satterfield and Emma Claire Satterfield; her great grandchild Holly Ross; and her brother Oneal Smallwood.
