She was predeceased by: her parents, Thaddeus Eldon and Dorothy Vaughn Owings. She is survived by: her son William Eldon Nelson (Amy) of Greer; her stepchildren, Mark Dukes and Michelle Dukes of Charlotte; and her sisters, Jean Rogers and Janet Splawn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
