With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Yvonne Shipes Harman (Graniteville, South Carolina), born in Elko, South Carolina, who passed away on April 15, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Warren Harman, Sr.; her son James "Jim" Warren Harman, Jr.; her granddaughter Amanda Harman; and her parents, William McKinley and Catherine Evans Shipes.
She is survived by: her daughter Catherine Cagney of Lexington, SC; her brothers, William McKinley "Bubba" Shipes (Patty) of Williston, SC and Jerry Shipes of Columbia, SC; her grandchildren, Catie Cagney of Lexington, SC, Camryn Cagney and Chase Harman of Clearwater, SC; and her great grandchildren, Amanda Harman, Brian Harman, Aiden Harman and Maddie Harman.
Masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced.
Considering Mrs. Harman's love for her church, the family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to National Hills Baptist Church, 2725 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30909.
