It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Hammett Efird (Graniteville, South Carolina), born in Aiken, South Carolina, who passed away on March 3, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Hammett and Jenny Ruth Hammett; her husband Robert "Bobby" Lever Efird; and her brother J. D. Hammett. She is survived by: her daughters, Kay Gordon and Teresa McNair; her siblings, Donnie Hammett (Judy), Ronnie Hammett (Evelyn), Barbara Williams and Joyce McMullen; her sister-in-law Faye Hammett; her grandchildren, Susan Johnson, Thomas Franklin and Jason Franklin (Amanda); and her great grandchild Ryann Marie Rhoden.
