He was predeceased by: his wife Sara "Alice" Jay Rodgers; his parents, John Allen and Daisy Siegler Rodgers; his siblings, Chester, John "Toby", LeRoy "Roy", Odell Rodgers, Thelma Snipes and Sally Rodgers; and his sons-in-law, Glenn Padgett and R. C. Hewitt.
He is survived by: his children, Wyman Rodgers (Blanche), Cordine Todd (Jimmy), Sara Ann Padgett, Brenda Hewitt and Gail Ruff (Mike). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
