He was predeceased by: his father Edward Simpson; and his brother Michael Simpson. He is survived by: his daughters, Robin Pearson (Chris) and Hope Simpson; his mother Ellene Merritt Simpson; his siblings, Timothy Simpson and Helen Mathis (Larry); his grandchildren, Christopher "CJ" Pearson, Jr., Haley Pearson, Krista Pearson, Ayden Pearson, Dylan Pearson and John Simpson; his niece Kim Davis; and his nephew Ryan Mathis.
