He is survived by: his wife Mary Nell Smith; his children, Miriam B. Sandefer, Susan M. Hughes (Jimmy), Robin M. Brown (Buster), Reuben B. Smith, III and Stephanie L. R. Forde (Edward Forde); and his siblings, Gregory W. Anderson, Woodrow J. Crosby, Barbara "Myrt" Crabb (Ken) and Shiela Jaskiewiez. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
