He is survived by: his spouse Patricia Key Cowan; his parent Viola Rich; his children, Raymond Lyle Cowan Jr. and Cary; his grandchildren, Briana Spradley, Bryan Baxley (Taneasha) and Justin Brimmer; his great grandchildren, Lilah Raye Icenhour and Scarlett Quinn Baxley; and also, George Cowan and Thelma Arline Cowan.
