She is survived by: her sons, Charles Randy Koon (Sheila) and Michael Owen Koon (Dorothy Ann); her stepdaughter Abigail Gibbs; and her siblings, Steve Smoak, Lamar Smoak and Nina Lanier. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
