She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Eugene C. Rhoden and Frances Wilson Rhoden; her son Dennis Leo Lanier; and her brothers, J. E. Rhoden, Buddy Rhoden and Cecil Rhoden.
She is survived by: her husband G. W. Lanier; her sons, Gary Lanier (Lisa) and Phillip Lanier (Sherry); and her siblings, Tommy Rhoden, Doug Rhoden, Mary Fallaw, Phyllis Gunter and Wanda Braxton. She is also survived by three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
