She was predeceased by: her daughter Rhonda Lynnette Powell; and her parents, Grover Simmons and Ada Mintz Simmons. She is survived by: her husband James H. Powell of Aiken, SC; her children, Deborah Powell King of Aiken, SC and Lawrence James Powell of Aiken, SC; her siblings, Jeanette Molizon of Greenville, SC and Alvin Simmons of James Island, SC; and her grandchildren, Christopher McNeely (Christina) of Aiken, SC, Chad McNeely (Terri) of Martinez, GA, Kendall Powell of Aiken, SC and Stacy Bolin (Justin) of North Augusta, SC.
