He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Teresa Steele of Aiken, SC; his children, Melissa Smith Best (Jeff) of Evans, GA and Joseph "Joey" Smith (Rhonda) of Fuquay Varina, NC; his siblings, Charlotte Hargreaves (John) of Lake Murray, SC, Ray Smith (Carolann) of Evans, GA and Robert "Robbie" Smith (Merry) of Aiken, SC; his grandchildren, David Alan Smith, Jeffrey Mark Best, Jr., Joseph Best and Lily Kate Best; and also Jeffrey Mark "Tripp" Best, III.
