She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Simpson; her parents, Thomas Merritt and Ellen Johnson Merritt; and her sons, Michael Joseph Simpson and Robbie Edward Simpson.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Augustus Simpson and Helen Simpson Mathis (Larry). She is also survived by four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
