He was predeceased by: his mothers, Millie B. Boyd and Annie Pearson Boyd; his siblings, Margie B. Hicks, Marvin Boyd and Kenneth Boyd; and his son-in-law Russell Gunter.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Clark Boyd; his children, Dr. Clifton Clark Boyd and Leslie B. Gunter; his grandsons, Andrew Gunter (Lisa) and Zachary Gunter (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Judah Gunter and Asher Gunter of Brandon, MS; and his sister Shirley B. Corley (Kyle). He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Interment will follow in the historic Graniteville Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make memorial donations to Gideons International, which distributes free copies of the Bible around the world.
