He was predeceased by: his spouse Willene Williams Hancock; his parents, William Hancock and Lizzie Robertson Hancock; and his siblings, Willie Hancock and Peggy Hancock.
He is survived by: his children, Brantley Lewis Hancock, Jr. (Debra Webb) and Sarah Kay Osteen (Gene); and his grandchildren, Jason Hancock, Chad Hancock, Saree Robinson (Patrick), Alli Coleman (Derrick) and Danielle Bishop Griffin.
